Good news for HP UFT testers, today HP released Patch 1 for UFT 11.53.

Also HP released some equivalent patches for:

What's been fixed

Some issues that this HP Unified Functional Testing patch resolves:

  • Issue with not being able to open some SERVICE-TEST tests in the Service Test application
  • Strange Unable to locate the project file when trying to open a recently created service test
  • Option added for the way Service Test encodes a REST Service send request
  • For odd UFT API behavior that caused some tests to show an Object reference no set to an instance of an object error. After the message is discarded the test is closed and cannot be reopened. The error “‘TestName' did not load correctly. Key cannot be null. Parameter name: key” is displayed in the error's information tab.
  • Service Test Compare XML activity fix for a bug created by UFT SP2
  • IIS JSON BOM issue fixed
  • Error: Failed to update components from server This implementation is not part of the Windows Platform FIPS validated cryptographic algorithms. Should be resolved
  • UFT editor performance increase changes added to help with sluggish behavior when editing big test that have recently been recorded
  • Speeder Object Spy
  • Slow UFT startup on a Window 7 64 bit OS resolved
  • Weird function library error message pop up resolved
  • Fix for scripts upgraded from QTP 11 to UFT 11.52 that created function call failures with object not found errors.
  • Unauthorized entry test resources stored in version controlled QC project
  • SetToProperty method should now work as expected
  • Strange ALM Cannot run test in Quality Center. The test run will stop now and Node not found when running a test set that recently removed some steps should no longer occur.
  • BPT ExitComponent and ExitComponentIteration should now work as expected
  • Exception Error when running external actions with parameters in UFT's Run from Action on flow chart should be resolved
  • Fix for OpenURL property – should not work like it in QTP 11
  • Application crashes due to WPF-add-in should no longer occur
  • Funky UFT select a value from a dropdown resolved
  • UFT recording values from a Flex list and Flex Pop-up window buttons should now work

I receive automated notifications when HP releases patches and when they update the KM article for a patch. Within 24 hours of being notified of this patch I received a second notification that the KM was updated. When I looked at the KM it said the patch was no longer available for download due to errors during the patch installation process. Just an FYI.

      Hi All,

I am experiencing UFT 11.5 and 11.53 crashes, while saving the modified existing API test. And also the script which i was trying to modify is getting crashed…

any thought around this? and is there any patch/solution to fix it?

      Thanks in advance!
