New to open source automation testing
I plan to start putting together some quick videos for common installs that someone new to open source automation testing would have to do to get started.
Although each one on its own may appear overly simple, I’m hoping that in the end I’ll have a bunch of videos that can be strung together and used as a kind of syllabus that I can point newbies to in order to help get them up and running with test automation using open source tools.
It’s part of a new approach I’m trying this year — inspired by a quote by Shunryu Suzuki:
“In the beginner’s mind there are many possibilities, but in the expert’s there are few.”
Approaching things that I think I know back to front with “beginner’s eyes,” I’m hoping to gain some new insights that I might have otherwise missed by assuming that my knowledge was complete.
